Sergio Izquierdo is a conservationist and wildlife photographer, filmmaker and speaker, listed by Forbes magazine as one of the most creative in the Central America and Panama region. With more than 50 stories published in National Geographic Magazines, besides filming for BBC, he has been able to work on all seven continents.  He is a conservationist photographer that loves nature and wildlife.  Sergio is the director and founder of Rescue The Planet, an organization that fights against plastic pollution, climate change, and in favor of species conservation; this organization won the World Champion Award at the World Summit Awards in 2024.  Additionally, he was the director and producer of the documentary Plasticósfera, which won several international festivals.  Seven publications of his work from his assignments of National Geographic en Español won the Best Edit award inside National Geographic.  Also, his work has been published on different newspapers, TV shows, magazines, documentaries and electronic media around the the world in countries like Guatemala, U.S.A., Canada, Iceland, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Brazil, Netherlands, Chile, Bolivia, China among others. Though his investigation on wildlife, nature and environmental problems, comes his desire of showing the world, not only the beauty of what we have, but also what we´re destroying, to raise the awareness to rescue the species and the environment for our future generations.
