Wild for Life | Maxime Aliaga
Rainforest - Wild for life, Sumatra, Indonesia
Maxime Aliaga is a French wildlife and conservation photographer, deeply committed to protecting the natural world through powerful visual storytelling. A biologist by training, he has spent the past 15 years documenting rare and endangered species in the world’s most fragile ecosystems—from the rainforests of Indonesia to the savannas of Africa and the jungles of South America.
His work blends scientific insight with artistic sensitivity, aiming to foster emotional connection and inspire action. Maxime is an Associate Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), and his images have been published internationally and exhibited at major photography festivals.
He collaborates with NGOs, scientific teams, and conservation programs to give a voice to threatened species and the people who protect them. Whether capturing the gaze of a great ape or the last light on a disappearing forest, Maxime’s photography is rooted in patience, respect, and a profound love for the wild.
