Ginger | Gretchen Kay Stuart
Meet the endangered Cascade red fox! When I’m fortunate enough to encounter an individual on more than one occasion, I nickname them based on a feature, territory location, or personality trait. Ginger is the only red-phase Cascade red fox I’ve encountered. We believe she is Snag’s mate and that she likely mothered kits in 2022. I have encountered Ginger two years in a row thus far.
A photographer from the Pacific Northwest, my work is driven by a deep commitment to documenting the fragile beauty of endangered species and the ecosystems they depend on. Through intimate storytelling and compelling imagery, I aim to bridge the gap between science and emotion, inspiring empathy and action for wildlife at risk.
