Dr. Gabby Salazar is a conservation photographer and an environmental social scientist. In 2004, Gabby was named the BBC Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year, and in 2021, she was recognized as the Emerging Photographer of the Year by the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA). A past president of NANPA, she is also an Associate Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP). She has an MSc in Conservation Science from Imperial College London and a PhD from the University of Florida, where she studied the impacts of environmental education programs and conservation campaigns on pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors. Gabby is the co-author of the book ‘No Boundaries: 25 Women Explorers and Scientists Share Adventures, Inspiration, and Advice, ‘which was published by National Geographic Kids.
