Caitlin Bailey is a science and natural history filmmaker and photographer from San Antonio, Texas. She is also an ocean explorer and a National Geographic Explorer. She is a member of the Emerging League at the International League of Conservation Photographers. Caitlin has been on over 30 ocean exploration expeditions throughout the world, primarily focusing on the deep sea. She and her teams have discovered numerous new species, found and explored historic shipwrecks, and contributed to the creation of many new Marine Protected Areas. She has done work with National Geographic Pristine Seas, The Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration, NOAA Ocean Exploration, and Ocean Geographic. She is also a partner photographer and filmmaker with Girls Who Click, a board member of the Ocean Media Institute, a member of the International Association of Wildlife Filmmakers, a member of the North American Nature Photography Association, and a Photo Expert with National Geographic Expeditions.
