Emanuele is an Italian naturalist and photographer with a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences. He is an Associate Fellow of the iLCP. His primary research areas include the conservation and natural history of amphibians and reptiles, spiders, other arthropods, and life in extreme environments.
He is the author and curator of scientific exhibitions (Predatori del Microcosmo, Kryptòs, Amphibia and others) aimed at bringing nature to the public and highlighting the beauty and challenges of the natural world. Emanuele has published three books: a photographic work titled "Predatori del Microcosmo" (translated as "Predators of the Undergrowth"), "Namibia," a non-photographic travel and adventure text and “Micromondi”, an essay focused on smaller creatures and based on his life and discoveries around the world.
Emanuele has won and been a finalist in various international photography competitions and served as a speaker and presenter at international photography symposiums and festivals like Wildphotos and Wildscreen festival.
